With Mo’s choral concert featuring Vaughan Williams’ Sea Symphony, sung on Saturday May 9th, we feel suitably tuned into going sailing as we pack our carry on bags for a departure on Tuesday 12th May. Looking ahead at the Croatian weather forecasts we have a few days of strong southerlies to encounter which may make life difficult as we head off to Split, 100 miles south of our base in Sukosan.
We have planned a Boat Launching Party which alluded us last year when we took over our new Deja Vu, on May 26th somewhere around Split. We have Tom and Faye joining us for 3 days and then Sue and Dick for a week. May 26th is the overlap day and therefore the fitting choice for the official champagne launch. Thereafter it will be a run (could we be so lucky?) back to Sukosan as we have a flight to catch on June 6th so we are back in the UK with enough time to weed the garden before the wedding day on June 27th.
